The whole idea of this blog is to try and limit what I post to stuff that I haven't seen anywhere else. This newest post is for sure a qualifier.
I dig around a lot when I get in one of these tapes. I try to track down the bands, see what they are up to these days, learn more about them, etc. On this band, I failed big time. I've spent hours trying to find any trace that this band actually ever existed. The shocker is that I have a LOT of info from this tape, and the songs on it. I know the names, stage names and real names of the band members, and I know they were found in St. Catherines, Ontario. I know they formed in 1991, and that members of this band used to be in bands called Sir Wicked and China White. But that's it. I haven't been able to find any info on those bands, nor have I been able to contact any members of this band. This is good stuff though. Not the greatest band I've ever heard or anything -- just good, solid straight forward hard rock. Hopefully you'll enjoy it!!! If any of you have info on this band, please let me know!

ReplyDeleteHello, I have heard recommendations to get the "demos" that are on cassette from UnderTheBridgeRecords. I need to know who/what they sound most like before I buy it. Especially when cassettes aren't the best investments these days and many are damaged from years of use or storage. So what bands/albums does this one sound most like? Also any modern sound to it, any grunge? Any alternative? Is it very poppy and radio friendly like a bon jovi or danger danger would be? Or a raw loud metal sunset strip sound of a guns n roses/skid row/spread eagle/la guns/etc? Please be specific so I get an idea who/what Hari Kari sounds like. Thanks.
